People: Willem Van Straten

Willem van Straten is a postdoctoral researcher in the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing at Swinburne University of Technology. He is the primary author and maintainer of two pulsar data processing and analysis packages, DSPSR and PSRCHIVE.

His current work focuses on the calibration of radio polarimetric data, high-precision pulsar timing, the determination of pulsar rotation measures and their use in mapping the Galactic magnetic field. He is also part of the APSR development team.
