The transfer of pulsarastronomy.net to the new host is complete. I’ve copied most of the files over, but there may be things missing. Please let me know if you spot any errors or other strange things. Currently I seem to be having an issue with the mailing lists, but I expect that it will be resolved soon. Please bare with me as I configure the new server.
Unfortunately the recent influx of spam has caused me to have to set an edit password for the wiki. I still encourage everyone to add to and edit the site! The password is 716Hz (I am hoping that spam bots are too stupid to read this).

ASKAP expressions of interest for pulsar projects are soon to be submitted. To help facilitate discussion on possible pulsar projects we have setup a discussion group and pages where people can declare their interest in these projects.

Welcome to PulsarAstronomy.net. This site aims to be an information hub for pulsar related topics, including software descriptions and instructions, an index of people involved in pulsar research and current projects and collaborations and places to advertise Jobs. There is also a global pulsar mailing list which anyone can sign up to. This site is a wiki, therefore anyone can edit the content. Please add anything missing and correct any errors. There is no password to edit (except the front page, although the password can be given out if requested).

Due to popular demand we now have several new areas of the site. A Jobs page has been created, for advertising research positions related to pulsars. We also have started a collection of guides for new Phd/MSc students, to ease the transition into pulsar research. This is intended as a way for the current batch of students to transfer some of their experience to the new students, and since it’s nearly the start of a new year, now is the time to write what you know!

Unfortunately there are a few missing preprints for this week, as my hosting company changed the server settings without telling me.
For some reason the astro-ph rss feed has gone missing, therefore the new paper updates are out of date.

It seems that requesting the paper list exactly on the hour caused it to time out! Probably there are some other automated scripts doing the same thing.

Looks like there is a bug in the preprint fetching script, I think it is caused by arxiv.org not responding fast enough. I’ll build in more error handling shortly.
The first public release of PulsarHunter is now available.

You can now see the latest pulsar preprints from astro-ph collected on this site. See further down this page, or select the latest preprints link on the left. This is generated by getting the papers with pulsar/neutron star in the title or abstract, therefore not all the papers are just about pulsars.

A new version of Sigproc is expected to be released shortly. It is expected that a number of improvements will be made to seek, including reconstructed profiles, new harmonic summing routines, and the option to use FFTW to improve speed.
PulsarHunter will also be having it’s first public release, scheduled for early February. This is some new tools which should complement the current Sigproc package by adding more time domain analysis options. It will also contain the latest JReaper release.

The site is ‘open’. Much of the content is not finished yet, however people can feel free to add their own. I will try and update the site myself when I get time.
