Willem van Straten is a postdoctoral researcher in the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing at Swinburne University of Technology. He is the primary author and maintainer of two pulsar data processing and analysis packages, [[DSPSR]] and [[PSRCHIVE]].
His current work focuses on the calibration of radio polarimetric data, high-precision pulsar timing, the determination of pulsar rotation measures and their use in mapping the Galactic magnetic field. He is also part of the [[APSR]] development team.
